so...that是太.... 其中a few 与a little 表肯定,代表“有”只是数量很少,而学生是复数,只有few和a few能修饰复数。因此选few
三。D
这是一个现在完成时的句子,可是加了一段时间“for more than two weeks”,因此要用延续性动词,而has left 的延续性动词是“has been away”,因此选D

Scientists are trying to make the deserts(沙漠) into land again. They want to bring water to the deserts, so people can live and grow food. They are learning a lot about the deserts. But more and more of the earth is becoming deserts all the time. Scientists may not be able to change the deserts in time.
Why is more and more land becoming deserts? Scientists think that people make deserts. People are doing bad things to the earth.
Some places on the earth don’t get very much rain. But they still don’t become deserts. It is because some green plants are growing there. Some green plants and grass are very important to dry places. Plants don’t let the hot sun make the earth even drier. Plants don’t let the wind blow the dirt(土) away. Nowadays most children go to school but few of them have ever asked themselves why they go there. Some children think they go to school just to learn their mother tongue, English and other foreign languages, mathematics, geography, history, science and a few other subjects. But why do they learn these things? Are these the only things they should learn at school?
Actually children go to school to prepare themselves for the time when they will be grown up and will have to support themselves. Nearly everything they study at school has some practical use in their lives, but there is one more important reason why children go to school.
There is more to education than just learning facts. We go to school above all to learn how to learn. Learning is not just for school but for life. So even after we have left school, we have to continue to learn. A man who really know how to learn will always be successful because whenever he is faced with a completely new task or problem, he will teach himself how to deal with it in the best way.
